UBSB’s HSE management system essentially consists of rules and instructions to control and co-ordinate the activities within the organisation in order to assure that a specified level of HSE standards is attained. In compliance with health, safety and environmental protection measures required by law to ensure staff act positively to prevent injury, ill health, damage, loss and other occupational hazards in order to provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
UBSB’s HSE Management are fully Committed to HSE by all staff, the Clients and contractor. They are seen as providing a leading role towards constant improvement through leadership and action planning.
UBSB has published a HSE policy in order to provide products and services as required by our customers in a safe and environmentally friendly manner base on the following principles:-
Meeting laws / regulations of the country
Train all staff to be aware and knowledgeable in HSE
System in place to measure and audit HSE performance
Well defined roles and responsibilities of each staff on HSE
Continuous improvement in HSE performance
Documented process and procedures on the planning, doing, review and improvement of HSE
Training and Localisation
Recognising the need to develop its personnel to ensure value added services to clients, UBSB continuously trains its personnel by conducting seminars and courses, and on the job training. As part of its local development programme, UBSB emphasizes on the transfer of technology and skill to all of its local personnel.
In addition to commitment for in-house training, UBSB extend its training to students and other interested party. The company is committed to develop young Bruneians in the field of Quantity Surveying and is actively supporting various technical institutions in Brunei.
