Utamacon (B) Sdn Bhd celebrated its 25th Anniversary, marking its formation in 1998, with a spectacular dinner event held on 15 February 2025 at the Banquet Hall of J Hotel in Kiulap. The event was attended by around 70 staff members and featured an Oscar-themed celebration.

The event kicked off with a speech delivered by the Utamacon Group Managing Director/General Manager, who is also the founder of Utamacon (B) Sdn Bhd, Tuan Sr. Md Shafie Bin Hj Md Yusof. He reflected on the company’s growth and achievements over the years and shared insights about the early days of Utamacon’s formation and its journey since its inception.

A Tahlil dan Doa Arwah event was organized for the BSB and KB offices on 17 February 2025 and 21 February 2025, respectively.

The BSB office gathering took place at Santai Ceria Cafe, Gadong, while the KB office event was held at Rampai Sari Hall at BSRC, Seria. The event provided an opportunity for employees to come together in prayer, reflect on those who have departed, and seek blessings ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.

The recital of the Tahlil and Doa Arwah for the BSB office was led by the Utamacon Group Managing Director/General Manager, Tuan Sr. Md Shafie Bin Hj Md Yusof. For the KB office, the recital was led by Director/Deputy General Manager of Utamacon (B) Sdn Bhd, Sr. AK Muhd Adib Bin Pg Hj Ali Hassen.

Recently, Utamacon (B) Sdn Bhd had the privilege of participating in the informative forum titled “Know Your Rights,” organized by the Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCI), under the Ministry of Development. Held from October 30 to November 2, 2024, at Dewan Munawwarah, Setia Point, Kg. Jaya Setia, this event was part of BINA Brunei 2024—a significant construction exhibition aimed at promoting industry growth and best practices.

On Thursday, 29th August 2024, the HSE Team organised an exciting Health and Lifestyle Program (HLP) bowling event at Golden Bowling, Airport Mall. The session, held from 5pm to 6pm, saw participation from around 22 staff members, bringing together colleagues from different departments for an hour of fun and friendly competition.

The Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS) is an international organization that unites Quantity Surveyors from the Asia-Pacific region. It serves as a platform for professionals to collaborate, share knowledge, and improve industry standards. The annual PAQS conference is a pivotal event where leaders, practitioners, and researchers gather to discuss the latest trends and innovations in Quantity Surveying.

In our ongoing commitment to fostering growth and excellence, we recently conducted a series of soft skills training sessions entitled “Professional Development (Intro Level) Workshop.” Held over three consecutive weeks—on 10th, 17th, and 24th August 2024—these sessions were designed to provide tailored training to different groups of employees, ensuring personalized attention and impactful learning.

UBSB recently hosted a successful two-day Internal Auditor Training for ISO 9001:2015 at our BSB office from 12th to 13th August 2024. The training was attended by 18 participants and was facilitated by Ms. Nancy Chan of MN Quality Training & Management Services, based in Kuching, Sarawak.
