UGC NEW YEAR CELEBRATION – A REFLECTION ON YEAR 2023 AND ASPIRATIONS FOR YEAR 2024

In conjunction with the arrival of the new year 2024, the Utamacon Group of Companies recently held Doa Selamat ceremonies at both its main office in Bandar Seri Begawan on 6 January 2024, and its branch office in Kuala Belait on 12 January 2024.  This annual event aims to seek blessings for the upcoming year and reflect on the achievements of year 2023.

The event commenced with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a Doa Selamat led by the group’s Managing Director, Tuan Md. Shafie Hj. Md. Yusof.  This solemn start set the tone for a spiritually uplifting event, instilling a sense of unity and purpose among Utamacon staff members.

Tuan Md. Shafie then delivered his new year speech, sharing insights into what the staff and the company anticipate in 2024.  He also took the opportunity to reflect on the company’s accomplishments in the past year, expressing gratitude for the collective efforts of the Utamacon team that contributed to the company’s success in 2023.  Tuan Md. Shafie candidly addressed the challenges that lie ahead in 2024, emphasizing the need for continuous dedication and hard work. He urged all staff members not to be complacent and stressed that overcoming challenges required a collective effort.  Additionally, he expressed confidence that Utamacon can emerge as a leader in the industry with determination and teamwork.

In summary, the Doa Selamat ceremony served not only as a spiritual invocation for blessings but also as a platform to unite the Utamacon family in reflection, gratitude and anticipation for the challenges and triumphs that lie ahead in 2024.
