UGC AIDILFITRI 2024 CELEBRATION

On 4 May 2024, the UGC group celebrated its annual Aidilfitri celebration at The Jupiter Banquet Hall in The StarLodge Hotel, Jerudong. Some 110 people attended the event, which also saw the participation not only from the group’s staff but also from the staff of associated companies. It was an opportunity for both management and employees to meet in a festive atmosphere.

The event started off with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Mohd. Haziq bin Haji Samsulbahri, followed by a short speech delivered by the group’s Managing Director, Tuan Sr. Mohd. Shafie bin Haji Mohd. Yusof. In his speech, Tuan Mohd. Shafie emphasized the importance of seeking and accepting forgiveness during the holy month of Syawal and reminded all staff to remember the less fortunate while celebrating Aidilfitri with joy.

The attendees at the event were entertained with various forms of entertainment in addition to engaging in some activities.  Some UGC staff participated in the performance alongside performances from the invited performers. The best part of the event was the highly anticipated lucky draws, offering a variety of smart gadgets, vouchers, and electrical items as prizes.

Before the event wrapped up, everyone was invited for a group photo, and the Managing Director took the opportunity to hand out green packets to everyone present. Thereafter, attendees were invited to enjoy food and drinks specially catered for the event.

The event concluded with a sense of warmth and companionship, echoing the essence of community that lies at the heart of the celebration. As guests departed with smiles and well wishes, the spirit of togetherness embodied in the event continued to resonate, serving as a reminder of the enduring values that unite us all.
