UGC CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY RAMADAN 1444H PROJECT

Written by UBSB

In honor of the Holy month of Ramadan 1444H, the UGC CSR Team carried out a community service project to distribute essential food items and cash donations to selected less fortunate families in Brunei Muara, Tutong and Belait districts who had been identified as families in dire need of assistance.

To help these families, the UGC CSR Team provided them with essential food items, such as rice, cooking oil, sugar and canned goods.  These essential food items were contributed by the staff of UGC.  In addition to the food items, the UGC CSR Team also provided cash donations to help the families with their expenses for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

The distribution took place on 13 April and 15 April 2023 respectively, with 12 families in Brunei Muara district, 2 families in Tutong district and 1 family in Belait district receiving the donations. The UGC CSR Team worked closely with a non-governmental charity organisation to identify the families in need and ensure that the distribution was carried out safely and efficiently.

The UGC CSR Team believes that it is their responsibility to give back to the community and help those in need.  This project is just one of many initiatives that the team has undertaken to support less fortunate members of society and make a positive impact on the community, in the hope of making a difference in the lives of those in need.
